SCRYE - ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE

YOUTH EXCHANGE OPPORTUNITIES!!!
Members of the District 5790 Youth Exchange Committee just returned from the The South Central Rotary Youth Exchange (SCRYE) Conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma. SCRYE is made of of 38 Rotary Districts covering 15 states! The organization was put in place to support the Youth Exchange Compliance Requirements of Rotary Districts. In the attached picture, RI Presidential Nominee Ray Klinginsmith is pictured with our district 5790 committee. In his speech to the conference, Ray indicated that some day Rotary may get a Nobel Prize for it's part in eradicating polio, and he feels that there could and should be another one for the effect that Rotary Youth Exchange has had on enhancing world understanding and peace.
Also at the conference were over 250 youth exchange students from approx 50 countries.
